Arrival Information

Plan your trip

  1. When on the E20, take exit 41 for Route 277 toward Tjæreby
  2. Turn right onto Bildsøvej/Route 277
  3. Turn left onto Kongsmarkvej
  4. Turn right onto Strandpibervej
  5. Turn right onto Sløruglevej
  6. You are at the cottage now (Sløruglevej 19)

Arrival time
If nothing else is agreed, the arrival is possible from 1 p.m. 15:00.
You will find the key in the key box outside.

Key box
The key box is next to the water-boiler on the terrace.
The password will be sent to you shortly upon the arrival.

About the Cottage

Essentials
You find all the basic stuff in the little kitchen.
Feel free to use the flour, sugar, oil & spices.
To get hot water, the water heater must be turned on.

Dishwasher
There is a dishwasher in the kitchen.
The dishwasher tabs are placed just under the sink.
Please DO NOT put the wooden pot spoons and wooden bowls in the dishwasher.

Water heater
The water heater is placed outside, and is switched off at arrival.
Turn the wheel to about 75%, and wait 20-30 min. and you will get hot water for kitchen and bath.

Important to turn off the water heater at departure

Gas stove
To be able to use the gas stove, please turn on the gas.
The gas bottle is placed just under the sink.
Press the lever from OFF to ON, and the gas is turned on.

Please turn OFF the gas when not using, just for safety measures.
And turn off the gas at departure

Grill
There is a gas-grill in the terrace that you can use. You have to detatch the bottle after every use.

TV
The tv has a few danish channels. The TV has also a Smart TV function, which means that you can connect the TV to an external WiFi source (e.g. your mobile hotspot) and use the functions such as Youtube etc.

Lights
There is a small remote by the window for the light i the livingroom.
The light for kitchen is just next to the fridge.
The light for toilet, takes 4-5 sec to turn on, and is the last switch next to the door.
The light chains outside, and in the conservatory are battery operated, and the ON/OFF is placed on the battery cover.

Pellet stove
In winter time, it's necessary to use the pellet stove.
PLEASE ALWAYS FOLLOW THOSE INSTUCTIONS

1. Always check that there are enough pellets in the stove. Check and fill up before bed time.

2. The stove is set to 23 celsius and can be changed. To change the temperature:
   1. Turn on the stove
   2. Click on "+" then "menu" then "+/-" to change the temperature.
   3. Click "menu" to save.

3. The stove will automatically turn off when temperature is reached. Also the stove will turn on when the temperatur is 2 celsius below the set temperature. No need to manually turn on or off the stove.
4. Once a day, clean the burning area inside the stove. It's important that this area is clean, or the stove will not operate correctly.

Radiators
The radiators are set to 22 celsius as default. You just need to turn the radiator on using the switch on the right side of the radiator.

The radiator is always displaying the room temperatur, not the temperatur that is set.
To see the chosen temperatur, just click once on the up-arrow
To set increase or decrease temperatur, click multiple times on the up/down-arrow.


Turn off the radiator at departure, and unplug the radiator from the socket.

Electricity panel
The electricity panel is placed on the left side in the bathroom, just next to the bathroom door. 

Water heater
The water heater/boiler is placed outside.

Windows
The house gets very warm, just open windows and doors and remember to close them when you leave the house for a trip.

Trash
Left side of this rash bin is for residual waste. The right side is for food waste.

Left side of this rash bin is for metal, glass and hard plastic waste. The right side is for paper and cardboard.

The other two bins are for garden waste.

Security / Alarm Information

Fire alarm
There are two fire alarms in the cottage.
One is placed in the kitchen, and the other one is placed in the living room.

Carbon monoxide alarm
The carbon monoxide alarm is placed just between the bath room and kitchen doors.

Rules
  1. Show respect to the neighbors. Although this is a holiday destination, it's also home to some people who live here whole year. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence.
  2. No pets are allowed in the house
  3. This is a non-smoking property. Please do not smoke inside. Feel free to smoke in the garden but remember to keep the area clean and free from cigarette butts.
  4. No crazy parties.
  5. Please keep the house clean and tidy.
Safety & Emergency

If you are witness to an emergency you should either call 112 or 1813.
It is important to know the difference between the two services.

When to call 112
Call the emergency telephone number 112 if you need urgent medical assistance with acute, life threatening illness or with injury. You should call 112:

- when you need an ambulance
- in case of an accident
- in case of fire
- You can call 112 anytime

A healthcare professional decides what service you require. If the emergency operations centre conclude that you should go to the emergency room see the addresses below.

When to call 1813?

1813 is the emergency line in The Capital Region of Denmark. 1813 is staffed by physicians and nurses who are able to guide you to proper and quick help and assistance when your GP is closed.
You should call 1813:

- when your own physician (GP) is not available.
- always before going to the emergency room.

Please note: You should always call 1813 before you go to the emergency room.

Non-Danish mobile phone services
If you are using a mobile phone service based outside Denmark, please remember to use Denmark’s country code +45 before dialling 1813.

Major cities

Slagelse
Slagelse is a town in Southwest Sealand approx. 12 km from our cottage. Slagelse is one of Denmark's oldest cities. The city is the eighth largest in Sealand and is located in the municipality of Slagelse. Here you can  find shopping possibilities, restaurants cafes and bars, as well as a nice pedestrian street.
Besides of that there are several large supermarkets in and around Slagelse.

Odense
Odense is located on Fyn, and you are able too see Fyn from the beach, and the bridge that connects Fyn with Sealand.
In Odense you can  find shopping possibilities, restaurants cafes and bars. Also there are several museums and one of the is the museum og Hans Christian Andersen.

Copenhagen
The capital city of Denmark is just an hour away from our cottage, and it is a visit worth.

Departure process
  1. Strip all used beds (including duvet covers) and place on the floor infront of the bath room door
  2. Run the dishwasher with any final dirty plates, etc
  3. Ensure all windows are closed
  4. No need to clean the house but please try to leave everything tidy. There is a vacuum cleaner in one of the rooms.
  5. Put the keys back int the keybox, and set the numbers to 0000.
  6. Make sure (if used) to switch of the Pellet stove and all radiatores, and the plug is taken out of the socket
  7. Turn off the water heater by turning the wheel to OFF
